Privacy Policy for Football Quiz

Football Quiz is a free mobile application developed and operated by Artur Aleksandryan ("we", "us", "our", or "Developer"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, how it is stored, and how you can request deletion of your data.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

Football Quiz can be used without signing in. In guest mode, your game progress is stored locally on your device.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we may collect and store your Google account display name, email address, Firebase Authentication user ID, and game progress including scores, answered question counts, category progress, and last synchronization time.

If you choose a custom profile photo inside the app, the image is stored locally on your device and the app stores a local file path so it can display the image again. We do not upload custom profile photos to our cloud services.

The app may also process technical information through third-party services, such as device information, app usage and diagnostics, IP address, operating system version, app version, and timestamps.

3. Cloud Sync and Local Storage

When you are not signed in, your progress is stored locally on your device.

When you sign in with Google, your progress may be uploaded to Firebase Cloud Firestore under a user-specific document, such as users/{uid}. This allows the app to restore your progress if you reinstall the app or use another device.

Public quiz questions are stored separately in Firestore in the questions collection. These public questions are not personal data and are not linked to your account.

Local data stored on your device may remain there until you delete the app, clear the app data, or use an in-app reset/delete feature. If you choose a custom profile photo, it is stored only in the app's local storage on your device.

Football Quiz uses third-party services that may collect or process information according to their own privacy policies. These services may include:

These third-party services may process data for authentication, cloud progress synchronization, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and service improvement.

5. Advertising

Football Quiz does not display advertising in version 1.0.0. The app may contain disabled advertising integration code for future use, but ads are not shown and advertising requests are not made while advertising is disabled.

If advertising is added in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated before ads are enabled in the app.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or another region with similar privacy laws, we process personal data only where we have a legal basis, such as consent where required, performance of a service you request, legitimate interests, and compliance with legal obligations.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share or allow processing of data by third-party service providers listed in this Privacy Policy, only as needed to operate, secure, analyze, and improve the app. We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or a valid governmental request.

8. Data Retention

We keep cloud progress and account-related app data for as long as needed to provide the app functionality, unless you request deletion or we no longer need the data. If you request deletion, we will delete or anonymize the personal data we control, unless we are required to keep certain information for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

9. Data Deletion Requests

You may delete your Football Quiz account data and cloud progress at any time.

If you are signed in, you can use the in-app deletion option in the Profile screen. This deletes the Firestore progress data associated with your app account, removes local game progress and locally stored custom profile photo data from the app, signs you out, and attempts to delete the Firebase Authentication app account record.

In some cases, Firebase Authentication may require a recent sign-in before the app account record can be deleted. If this happens, you can sign in again and repeat the deletion process, or contact us for help.

You can also request deletion by contacting us at arthuralexandryan@gmail.com. Please include the email address used to sign in to Football Quiz. If possible, also include your Firebase user ID or a screenshot of your profile screen.

We aim to respond to deletion requests without undue delay and within 30 days, unless a longer period is permitted by applicable law. Data stored locally on your device can be removed by using the in-app deletion option, deleting the app, or clearing the app data from your device settings.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, withdrawal of consent, objection to certain processing, or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact us at arthuralexandryan@gmail.com.

11. Children's Privacy

Football Quiz is not directed to children under 13 years old or the minimum age required by applicable law in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below the required age.

12. Security

We use commercially reasonable measures to protect the information we process. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure.

13. International Processing

The services used by Football Quiz, including Firebase and Google services, may process data on servers located in different countries.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we update it, we will change the "Last updated" date above.
